Case Study Item Set
A six-item NGN set based on an evolving clinical scenario
Definition
A Case Study Item Set is a series of six linked NGN items based on one evolving clinical scenario. Each item tests one of the six CJMM steps in sequence.
Structure
- Item 1: Recognize cues (highlight)
- Item 2: Analyze cues (matrix or cloze)
- Item 3: Prioritize hypotheses (cloze)
- Item 4: Generate solutions (drag-and-drop)
- Item 5: Take action (matrix)
- Item 6: Evaluate outcomes (matrix)
Strategy
Read carefully. New information updates between items. Apply CJMM sequentially. Don't skip ahead; each item prepares for the next.
